Description
The Rheem Vibration Isolation Kit is meant for installation of Heat Pump Water Heaters of 40-80 gallon sizes on non-concrete floors. The kit will reduce noise during the water heater’s heat pump operation by minimizing and/or preventing vibrations from traveling through floor structure.
Installation Instructions
- Place Vibration Isolation Template centered in the drain pan
- Locations of the four vibration isolators are clearly marked on the template: use locations marked “50 Gal” for water heaters with 50 gallon capacity. Use locations marked “65/80 Gal” for water heaters with capacities of 65 and 80 gallons/
- Use the double-sided adhesive strip to adhere each vibration isolator to the drain pan in each four designated locations.
- The template should remain in the drain pan until the unit is placed on the vibration isolators. Center the unit inside the circle designated for the size unit being installed.
